Certificate IV in Building and Construction
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)TIV’s CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction is an entry level course that will take you through the full construction process from start to finish including building and construction regulations, the planning process, preparing a site and managing a construction site.
Course Highlights

Course Duration
- 2 online classes each week (6.00pm to 9.00pm)
- Select options of either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
- 4 Compulsory ‘face to face’ Saturday practical site classes from 9:00am-1:00pm.
- 44 weeks to complete the course (inclusive of student support).

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Age: 18 years or older.
English Language: Demonstrated LLN skills through the pre-training review process.
Pre-Training Review:
- Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills.
- Understanding of course structure.
- Computer literacy.
- Motivation for course enrolment.
Computer Requirements:
- Laptop Computer
- Laptop Charger
- Internet access
- Smartphone (where required for photos)
- Licensed Version Windows Office Products (Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Microphone and Webcam
Exit: This qualification is designed to be delivered in full, with students awarded a certificate upon successful completion. If a student is unable to complete the entire qualification, or chooses to withdraw, they will receive a Statement of Attainment for any units of competency successfully completed.

- VIC Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the VIC Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.

- This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
Concession cards: TIV allows a 1-month grace period after the commencement of training. If you provide proof of concession during this period, the concession start date must be prior to the commencement of your training.
