Diploma of Community Services
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Diploma of Community Services reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities.
At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management; program coordination or the development of new business opportunities.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
The target learners and entry requirements for this course must:
- be over 15 years of age, and no longer attending secondary school
- undertake Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Skills Indicator assessment questionnaire
- ability to undertake vocational placement, which includes manual handling tasks
- have technological skills to undertake computer/online work and have access to a computer and software with the following minimum specifications
- Obtain security clearances*
- Adobe Acrobat Reader/Adobe Flash Player and up to date internet browser
Course fees
- QLD Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the QLD Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
- SA Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the SA Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
State funding is available in QLD and SA.
