Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)In the Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering, you’ll gain a broad understanding of the industry, with a focus on key technologies in the renewable energy sector, their design and Australia’s transition into green energy. Learn about the renewable energy industry and how to design, develop and implement renewable energy systems and technologies to create a more sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come.
Develop a strong understanding of the foundations of engineering practices, energy storage systems and photovoltaic (PV) systems, and build industry-targeted skills in maths, physics and programming. Graduates of this course are eligible to apply for provisional Clean Energy Council (CEC) accreditation. Students who have completed the TAFE NSW Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering may receive up to 48 credits (effectively one year of study) with recognition-of-prior learning when progressing a pathway to the UTS Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree. Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
You must demonstrate that you have achieved one of the following:
- A NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent or
- A Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or its equivalent or
- A completed certificate IV or higher vocational qualification
You must also have mathematics knowledge to HSC level or equivalent before entering this course, or you may be required to undertake a bridging program or preparatory maths course. All students will submit a skills assessment questionnaire to test their maths capabilities.
