This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to work as assistant designers and specialist production technicians, such as patternmakers and sewing machinists, who support design and production within the clothing and fashion industry.

It includes business and design outcomes which build on technical production skills and knowledge, to provide a basis for career progression to design, construction and merchandising management roles. as well as targeting the skill requirements of fashion designer.

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to work in applied design and production roles within the clothing and fashion industry.

This qualification is suitable for workers producing fashion products with a basic understanding of sewing skills for garment alterations, specialist machinist, support roles in pattern making, cutting garments, marker making and production of garments. It is aimed at reskilling and reentering the workforce.

Items to be produced would include a single or small range of products. This qualification is particularly suitable for those who are self-employed undertaking low volume production of items for local distribution outlets, for example, markets and those people looking for good job prospects in garment manufacturing.

This course consists of design, sewing and pattern-making subjects giving students the skills to create garments of your own design. By successfully completing Certificate II. you will receive direct credit for a number of the units, against units within the Diploma of Applied Fashion Design & Technology if you choose to continue your studies.

Students who undertake the Certificate II in Applied Fashion Design & Technology course will learn to develop their creative ideas in a caring, nurturing, and supportive environment to bring out the best in every individual.

You will learn professional sewing and garment construction methods from industry professionals with many years of experience in the fashion industry. Create a resource book of sewing sample techniques for future reference, and make basic garments to your own designs

Explore your creative passion and learn how to turn your drawings and designs into a printed fabrics or other exciting printed products. Build your own range of textile designs which you can sell to other designers or create your own product ranges from your print designs! As a surface designer you can use your print designs to create anything from wallpaper, scarves, cushions, gift cards, wrapping paper, towels, clothing, handbags, shoes, floor rugs, bed linen and more.

The Diploma course will prepare you with the skills to create exciting designs created from your paintings and drawings or designed on computer exclusively. You will learn how to create repeat prints, various colourways, coordinating prints, colour separations for printing and product specifications.

This qualification reflects the role of visual artists and combines specialised technical, creative and conceptual skills to develop an emerging arts practice. It focuses on developing skills in art forms such as drawing, painting, illustration, textile design and digital surface design.

As well, you will develop skills and knowledge of art theory and history and be able to critically analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources. Some business skills are also covered so that you will be able to realise your dream of becoming a creative arts practitioner.

This course has been designed to develop your knowledge of current trends in photography, learn to interpret photo-imaging assignment briefs, consult with clients to refine objectives of photography assignments, select appropriate technologies and workflows to capture images, employ aesthetic, conceptual, compositional and technical skills to photo-imaging outcomes and allow you to gain exposure to a variety of shooting styles.

Interior Design and Decoration course gives you greater design awareness and the skills to develop your individual style.

The Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration will provide you with the skills and knowledge to create plans and undertake project in later stages of the course; you will learn how to create and plan, furniture, fittings, surfaces and colour schemes for commercial and residential settings.

You’ll learn 2D and 3D design skills and the decorative aspect of design. You’ll develop high-level documentation and technical skills in order to present your ideas to both residential and commercial clients in a professional brief.

There is a strong focus on design management and construction as you explore the key philosophies to managing your design projects and running a successful interior design practice.

You will learn to visually communicate your ideas and projects using the latest industry software and present your work to an exceptionally high industry standard.

Design project work that simulates industry relevant briefs relating to residential and commercial interior design.

You will learn how to create and develop designs derived from a brief, while adhering to regulatory requirements, using industry standard software and incorporating the knowledge and principles of interior design. Design projects are not limited to, but may include, designing areas such as facilities for people with disabilities, residential, institutional design, exhibitions or commercial developments.
