Art Consultants assist their clients with the purchase and display of artworks including paintings, sculptures, installations, and mixed media pieces. They work with individual collectors as well as galleries, private companies and public organisations.
As an Art Consultant you could be assessing and appraising a client’s office space, attending an art auction on behalf of a client, creating a visual proposal with display suggestions for a client, commissioning a painting, or networking with a group of artists at an exhibition.
To succeed in this occupation you will need a passion for contemporary art, an eye for detail, and excellent personal presentation, as well as sales and marketing skills.
