All Parlour Hair Academy Courses
Students must be currently employed with a salon under a contract of training to complete this course. Apprentices and employers have the flexibility of where their apprentice training can be completed. Parlour Hair Academy work closely with the employer and apprentice in developing a training programme that suits the needs of the salon and the student. The training at Parlour Hair Academy is delivered by cutting edge teachers at the forefront of the fashion industry to ensure that apprentices receive relevant training along with a thorough foundation of hairdressing knowledge to build their future career path.
Parlour Hair Academy offer incentives to salons that send their apprentices to the Academy for their training, please contact the Academy for more information. Class sizes are small to allow more one-on-one training and students have access to all national and international resources at the Academy. The nominal hours of completion are 1025 and the course is competency based. Students are assessed on a daily basis with a final assessment on completion of their training. Progress reports are sent to the employer every 6 months, together with progressive updates from the Apprentice Co-ordinator.

Structured over thirteen months of full time study the student will learn all the necessary skills and knowledge required to assess as a qualified hairdresser upon completion of training. Learn moreThis course is designed as an introduction to hairdressing for students that wish to enter the industry at an assistant level progress to either an apprenticeship or institutional pathway studies. The program is made up of twelve units, seven of which can give credit in SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing. There is also a two week component of work placement where students can gain experience in a salon and apply their new skills in a working environment.
