About Racing Education Centre

The Racing Education Centre (REC) is an Australian Registered Training Organisation dedicated to providing nationally accredited education across all three racing codes: harness, thoroughbred, and greyhound racing. Originally established in 1990 as the Harness Racing Industry Training Centre, the provider has evolved into a comprehensive training hub based at Lord’s Raceway in Junortoun, Victoria, with a strong presence in New South Wales and Western Australia. The centre is known for its commitment to "hands-on" learning, maintaining an active horse stable and racing team where students develop practical skills in horsemanship, stable management, and race preparation. By combining high-tech online delivery for theoretical knowledge with intensive on-site practical training, REC serves as a vital entry point and professional development resource for individuals seeking industry licensing and long-term careers in the racing sector.
