More information

Scriptwriters are specialist writers who write scripts for movies, TV programs, online games, streaming shows, and corporate video. They may develop their own original stories, transform existing books and novels into scripts, or work to a project brief. Some scriptwriters work in the corporate sector, creating scripts for marketing, sales, and training videos.

As a Scriptwriter you could be brainstorming themes and ideas for a promotional video with the marketing department, carrying out background research to support character development in an online game, preparing a synopsis of your new screenplay to pitch to a television network, writing a scene, proofreading and editing your work, collaborating with the video production team, attending a networking event with agents and producers, or just watching an award winning TV series for some inspiration.
