Sports Trainer careers

A Sports Trainer provides care and first aid to athletes to prevent injuries and assist with recovery. You might work for a professional sports club, a local community team or at a fitness centre. Sports Trainers focus on preparing athletes for competition through taping, massage and warm-up routines. You’ll monitor physical condition during events, implement injury prevention strategies and provide immediate clinical support when accidents occur on the field.

Sports Trainers play an essential role in maintaining the health and performance of active individuals. You’ll need to be observant and calm under pressure and be able to communicate effectively with diverse groups. You’ll liaise with coaches, physiotherapists and medical professionals to ensure players are fit for competition and receiving the specialised rehabilitation they require.
