Swimming Instructor Courses

A Swimming Instructor provides instruction and coaching to people learning to swim. You’ll work with swimmers of all abilities from young children learning water safety to older students developing their swimming techniques. You might provide advice on improving stroke technique or increasing speed and you may organise for clients to enter swimming competitions.

Swimming Instructors should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to understand the individual needs of their clients. You should have a thorough knowledge of the sport and be able to analyse swimmer techniques and come up with solutions to performance issues. Swimming Instructors should be good communicators and be able to liaise with clients from a range of backgrounds.
