A Bachelor of Business – Bachelor of Laws from UOW equips you with a comprehensive legal education: a world-class degree that provides a thorough grounding in the law, as well as a real-world focus on the essential practical skills and the social and ethical context in which the law operates.
Combining Law with Business prepares you for a range of careers, giving you the edge as you gain a legal perspective on contemporary and socially responsible business practice. It provides a program of study in commerce, business and administration and further develops analytical and interpersonal skills, and high levels of literacy and numeracy.
We believe that practical experience is a vital part of your legal training. We are the only law school in New South Wales that requires you to complete a legal internship, providing highly valued industry experience.

Entry Requirements
You must meet ONE of the following requirements:
Completed Year 12 (ATAR optional) with ATAR score 90.00 or equivalent.
RECENT SECONDARY EDUCATION ADMISSION CRITERIA
- Students may gain admission to UOW on the basis of an interview and completed portfolio that meets the Australian Qualifications Framework, including portfolios from a Big Picture Education Australia school.
- The minimum score for guaranteed entry (or for consideration if this course has limited places) is an ATAR-Selection Rank of 90 or an IB of 34.
- The University assumes students will have studied any 2 units of English. Ideally, students will have studied English Advanced.
VOCATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING
Applicants who have completed a minimum of an AQF Certificate IV will be considered for admission to this degree.
HIGHER EDUCATION STUDY
For your application to be assessed on your university results you need to have completed at least half a year of full-time study (or part-time equivalent) at a Bachelor's degree level or higher.
WORK & LIFE EXPERIENCE
Students wishing to undertake this course, but who do not meet academic requirements are advised to apply for a pathway program that UOW recognises, such as a UOW College pathway program, or the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (for people over 21 years of age by 1 March in the year of enrolment) or the TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC).
