The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is a four-year degree with the option to major in your chosen specialisation. You will have access to fully equipped laboratories and the latest computer-aided software used in modern industrial workplaces. This degree also includes 12 weeks of industry experience providing valuable practical training.

The Bachelor of Science offers flexibility with the opportunity to begin your specialisation immediately, if you have decided on your major, or in second year after completing foundational subjects in first year. You will participate in practical classes in our purpose-built Sciences Teaching Facility, and you will complete an industry-linked research project tackling real problems.

RECENT SECONDARY EDUCATION

Students may gain admission to UOW on the basis of an interview and completed portfolio that meets the Australian Qualifications Framework, including portfolios from a Big Picture Education Australia school.

The minimum score for guaranteed entry (or for consideration if this course has limited places) is an ATAR-Selection Rank of 80 or an IB of 29.

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING

Applicants who have completed a minimum of an AQF Certificate IV will be considered for admission to this degree.

HIGHER EDUCATION STUDY

For your application to be assessed on your university results you need to have completed at least half a year of full-time study (or part-time equivalent) at a Bachelor's degree level or higher.

WORK & LIFE EXPERIENCE

Students wishing to undertake this course, but who do not meet academic requirements are advised to apply for a pathway program that UOW recognises, such as a UOW College pathway program or the TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC).
