Traineeship
This course is designed for operators currently working in food manufacturing roles within the food Industry. Training is delivered through a blended approach, combining online learning via a web-enabled student portal, live remote sessions with trainers, and onsite face-to-face instruction.
Certificate II in Food Processing focuses on food processing, covering essential tasks such as production or packaging line operations, quality control, worker safety, GMP, reporting and food safety.
You’ll also have the flexibility to choose from a list of available elective units that match your daily responsibilities.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
There are no set prerequisites for this course.
In Tasmania, existing workers can qualify for traineeship.
In NSW, students must have been recently employed—less than 3 months full-time or less than 12 months permanent part-time—to qualify for a traineeship.
Additionally, students must sign up with an Australian Apprenticeship Support service through their employer to be eligible for funding.
Students are to undertake a pre-training review and study skills assessment to determine language, literacy and numeracy levels to allow us to support each student adequately.
