Certificate II in Wool Handling
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Our Certificate II in Wool Handling is an entry level qualification into the Wool Industry. Under general supervision in one of our shearing / wool handling schools, students will learn how to carry out routine wool handling tasks, which include but are not limited to: wool pressing; board duties; penning sheep; observations & assisting in the preparation of the sheep for shearing and crutching.
Students will encounter six training days alongside two follow-up visits for this qualification. Typically, students will attend a week-long shearing school, which is conducted in a functioning shearing shed. Students will experience a real-workplace, including discussions with the grower.
