Certificate III in Carpentry
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)TIV’s Certificate III in in Carpentry Course is a popular training alternative to a Carpentry Apprenticeship. It’s a hands-on program designed for people who want to begin a career as a carpenter without doing an apprenticeship. Course Duration:
- 3 face-to-face classes each week (7.00am – 3.00pm) Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
- The total timetabled sessions including holiday and study breaks is 64 weeks.
- Plus 1 week of additional student support if required.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Age: 18 years or older.
English Language: Demonstrated sufficient LLN skills through pre-training review process.
Pre-Training Review:
Evaluation includes assessment of:
- Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills.
- Understanding of course structure.
- Computer literacy.
- Motivation for course enrolment.
Course Entry Requirements:
No specific requirements or preferred pathways.

- Licensed Version Windows Office Products (Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Exit: This qualification is designed to be delivered in full, with students awarded a certificate upon successful completion. If a student is unable to complete the entire qualification, or chooses to withdraw, they will receive a Statement of Attainment for any units of competency successfully completed.

- VIC Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the VIC Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.

- This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
Concession cards: TIV allows a 1-month grace period after the commencement of training. If you provide proof of concession during this period, the concession start date must be prior to the commencement of your training.
