When you complete the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, you’ll have the skills you need for a rewarding career in hospitality, working as a fully qualified cook.
You’ll learn how to plan and cost menus, select and prepare a variety of food, cater for specific dietary requirements and cultural needs, and apply food safety and hygiene procedures.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3, for both literacy and numeracy, Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer.
Please note: students will be required to undertake manual handling, including heavy lifting of up to 8kg, use kitchen tools and utensils and be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hour blocks
