The Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathway is designed for experienced community services professionals seeking formal recognition of their existing skills, knowledge and workplace experience.
This pathway is particularly suitable for individuals with experience in client assessment, case management, support planning, service coordination, crisis intervention and the management of complex client needs.
NTA's qualification incorporates a case management focus, recognising competencies in goal-directed planning, case coordination, case supervision, legal and ethical compliance, risk management and multidisciplinary service delivery.
The qualification comprises 20 units of competency — 12 core and 8 electives. Applicants undergo a structured RPL assessment process involving evidence reviews, competency interviews, workplace verification and practical assessment where required.
Applicants with a relevant Certificate IV qualification or a minimum of three years' community services experience are particularly encouraged to apply. All applicants must demonstrate competency against the applicable units of competency.
Where existing evidence does not fully demonstrate the required competencies, additional gap training, practical assessment or workplace experience may be required.
RPL assessment is conducted in accordance with NTA's RPL and Credit Transfer Policy. Successful applicants who demonstrate competency across all required units may receive the nationally recognised CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services qualification.
Duration: Individualised, based on evidence submitted, competency assessment requirements and any identified training gaps.
