Operate an Attenuator
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)All drivers of truck mounted attenuator trucks have one of the most important jobs of all crew members; they are responsible in ensuring all other members of the crews are adequately protected from out of control or errant vehicles in or around a work zone, a trafficable lane or a road reserve.
Facilitation of this accredited course can be conducted nationally within a client’s work site or applicable work site for Truck or Trailer Mounted Attenuators, pending minimum booking numbers.
This course is only available to corporate clients.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Hold a Heavy Vehicle Licence of the appropriate class to operate the TMA
- Have a white card
- If you completed traffic management after March 1, 2024, the course/skillset on your Statement of Attainment (SOA) should be TMI1 – RIISS00060 – Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Urban Streets and Low Volume Rural Roads. (Valid)
- If you completed traffic management prior to March 1, 2024, a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS302E Implement Traffic Management Plan or an equivalent is required.
