Operate Elevating Work Platform
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course provides the skills and knowledge required to operate an elevating work platform (Scissor Lift), up to 11m.
A Scissor Lift is not classified as requiring a High-Risk Work Licence from WorkSafe Victoria.
Topics may include:
- Safe operating procedures for a Scissor Lift
- Emergency procedures
- Traffic management plan procedures relevant to their role in the work area
- Carrying out operational checks on a Scissor Lift
- Checking compliance plate and load chart for reach requirements and load suitability
- Controlling and operating a Scissor Lift ensuring movements and control functions are safe, smooth and comply with operating requirements
