Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Do you work in remote or rural areas and need first aid skills? How about the nationally recognised short course HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in remote or isolated site? This course is recognised by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).
During your studies you’ll gain a full First Aid and CPR certificate, and you’ll also gain the skills you need to setup a first aid station at an remote or isolated outpost and then provide first aid and support over an extended period of time (or until medical help arrives).
Remote first aid competencies include: recognising and assessing emergency situations, ensuring safety of self and bystanders, assessing casualty and providing first aid, carrying out CPR, communicating with emergency services, coordinating evacuations and prolonged first aid.
