Resident Letting Agent Licence (QLD)

Once you’ve completed the course, you’ll be able to manage and rent out units on behalf of both owners and body-corporates. You’ll collect rent across the building complex, conduct property inspections and operate a trust account.

However, to qualify for a Residential Letting Licence QLD, you must first complete the required course with a registered training organisation (RTO). Note that this course does not qualify you to work as a licensed real estate agent. This means you cannot sell any properties or units in the complex that you manage. You also can’t rent or sell units in any residential complex that you are not managing.

After completion, you can apply for a resident letting licence QLD with the Queensland Office of Fair Trading as a resident letting agent.
