Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) is a quality assurance program for community pharmacy and provides support and guidance on professional health services and pharmacy business operations. Today, over 94% of community pharmacies in Australia are QCPP accredited.
The aim of the program is to ensure that community pharmacies provide quality, safe and consistent professional services, and customer care.
As part of the QCPP requirements all staff who supply Pharmacy Medicines and assist the pharmacist to supply Pharmacist Only Medicines must receive training via a recognised and accredited course. The unit, SIRCIND002 - Support the supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines meets this QCPP requirement.
The completion of this unit will ensure that Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) requirements for supply of scheduled medicines is met.
