TMD 1 (Traffic Management Designer 1) Skill Set
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge required for those responsible for developing Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS) on Temporary Traffic Management Category 1 environments as described in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Have Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills to ACSF level 2 or above.
The skillset training for TMD 1 may only be undertaken if any one of the three entry requirement options below are met:
- Eligibility through experience as a Traffic Management Implementer OR
- At least an AQF Level 6 qualification in a civil construction, traffic engineering or road design related field OR
- Qualifying in the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management
