A Field Engineer installs and maintains equipment in various locations. You might carry out inspections and perform necessary adjustments or repairs. Field Engineers may set up new technology or monitor the performance of existing systems. You might design new equipment or use already established engineering plans.

Field Engineers should have strong technical abilities and be able to adapt their skills to suit a range of circumstances. It’s important you have excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills. Field Engineers should be good problem solvers and be capable of working as part of a larger team.
