An Offshore Emergency Response Team (OERT) Leader coordinates frontline emergency operations on oil rigs, gas platforms, or offshore support vessels. You might work for major energy producers or specialist safety organisations. You will focus on firefighting strategies, search and rescue coordination, and hazardous material containment. By directing team members during high-pressure drills and incidents, you ensure the safety of all personnel and the integrity of the offshore facility.

OERT Leaders play a critical role in maritime and industrial safety. You must be a decisive and physically fit leader with the ability to manage complex emergencies under extreme conditions. You will liaise with the Offshore Installation Manager and medical teams to ensure all emergency protocols are executed efficiently and that your team remains highly trained and ready.
