Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain careers

An Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain commands the emergency evacuation and operation of survival craft on oil rigs, gas platforms, or offshore vessels. You might work for energy producers or maritime contractors as a designated emergency leader. You will focus on the safe launching of survival craft and the recovery of personnel from the water. By managing vessel navigation and communicating with rescue services, you ensure all passengers remain safe until further assistance arrives.

Offshore Lifeboat Coxswains play a vital role in protecting lives during maritime emergencies. You must be calm and authoritative to lead others under extreme duress. You will liaise with the Offshore Installation Manager and emergency response teams to ensure evacuation procedures are followed correctly and that your craft is maintained in a state of constant readiness.
