The Bachelor of Information Technology (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) gives you a broad knowledge applicable to the IT industry in both well-established technologies and emerging IT trends. In your first year of study you’ll obtain the required core IT foundations, and then become ‘job-ready’ by completing specialist AI and Data Science units, plus our mandatory career development units including 60 days of paid placement through Federation Co-op.

Work Placement

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Admission criteria for applicants (year 12)Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any English
Admission criteria for applicants with a Higher Education StudyPrevious higher education studies with results at a pass level, including any 'single subjects of study', or successful completion of a tertiary preparatory course such as the Foundation Access Studies Program (FAST).
Admission criteria for applications with a Vocational Education and Training studySuccessful completion of a relevant VET qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
