Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Working in community services provides rewarding career opportunities for individuals passionate about helping others and making a positive impact. These roles focus on supporting individuals, families, and communities by addressing various needs, such as social inclusion, economic participation, and well-being.

This qualification reflects the role of entry level community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services. Work may include day-to-day support of individuals in community settings or support the implementation of specific community-based programs.

Community Workers facilitate community development initiatives and collective solutions within a community to address issues, needs and problems associated with recreational, health, housing, employment and other welfare matters.
