Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing a curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations.
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care course will not only help you develop essential skills for working as an early childhood educator, but it will also provide you with advanced knowledge and abilities in early childhood education. This will enable you to work as an early childhood care education manager, group leader, or family day care coordinator.
Delivery mode
Charter Australia offers this course through the following delivery modes:
On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Traineeship
Work and gain real-world experience while earning a qualification.
Work Placement
For this qualification students must have completed at least 280 hours of work placement (Not applicable for traineeship enrolment).- 53 Walker Street, North Sydney, NSW
Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Hold one of the following qualifications
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or
- CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Before undertaking any work placements in a regulated children’s education and care centre, students will be required, at their own cost, to undertake a:
- National Police Check
- Health screening & any necessary vaccinations including Covid-19 vaccination
- Child protection certificate
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
