Diploma of Social Science
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationStudying a Diploma of Social Science will give you a strong grounding in key social science concepts, including social structures, human behaviour, cultural diversity, and social change, while developing practical skills in social analysis, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking. Graduating with a Diploma of Social Science will allow you to transition to second-year studies at Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus, or pursue entry-level roles in human services, criminology, psychology, or related fields.

Course Structure
The Diploma of Social Science can be completed over two or three sessions. It comprises core (mandatory) and elective units. Students will study eight units in total, which include six core units and two elective units. The elective unit is dependent on articulation.

We are a tertiary college offering a direct pathway to a university degree. With flexible entry criteria, you can complete a SIBT diploma and then directly progress into your second-year studies of a university bachelor degree.
We have been in operation since 1997 and are part of the global Navitas Group (an internationally recognised education provider).
