The Graduate Certificate in Family Violence is designed to deliver specialised expertise in the area of domestic and family violence work. An evidence-based and industry relevant qualification, it is responsive to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Family Violence, and meets all equivalency principles for work as a family violence practitioner.
The course aims to produce professionals who are effective - lifelong learners who can realise and capitalise on opportunities afforded by emerging research, and practice and prevention initiatives relating to family violence work.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study
- Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study
- A minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in Family Violence, or a related sector*;
- Attend a pre-admission information session and complete a questionnaire; and
- A pre-selection interview (if applicable).
Applicants with higher education study
- A completed higher education degree (AQF 7 or above) in a relevant discipline;
- Attend a pre-admission information session and complete a questionnaire; and
- A pre-selection interview (if applicable).
