This course provides an introduction to the sport industry environment alongside an awareness of management skills relevant to this sector. The program includes subjects that develop a critical understanding of sport management across the areas of business, globalisation, governance, and sport for social impact in both the Australian and international contexts.
The course is developed and delivered in collaboration with industry experts from the field, with each subject comprising of a mix of sport management concepts and real-world practice. Research-inspired course content is delivered by world-leading academics and industry partners, which allows students to apply knowledge and understanding across different domains of the sport industry. It offers introductory skill sets needed for managers to operate in the sport industry.

Entry Requirements
You must meet ALL of the following requirements:
IELTS score of 6.50 or TOEFL iBT score of 79.00 or PTE score of 58.00 or its equivalent.
Applicants must have one of the following:
• Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent
OR
• A minimum of 4 years full-time or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience AND a general capacity to undertake tertiary education
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
All applicants who do not meet the academic requirement may still be considered on the basis of a minimum of at least four years' full time, or equivalent, relevant work experience. The relevant work experience must be demonstrated through a C.V. and a Statement of Service confirming the dates of employment, and the position held within the organisation.
The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international qualifications is:
- Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or
- TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5,
- TOEFL: internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or
- AE5: Pass; or
- PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or
- C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
