Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Learn how to repair and maintain cars and light vehicles with the Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
You'll learn to diagnose and repair issues with steering suspension, and cooling systems, as well as servicing electrical systems and wheel tyre assemblies.
You'll also learn important workplace safety skills so you're prepared for life in a real auto workshop.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
GOTAFE entry requirements
- Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
- Undertake a Pre-training Review by interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
- Apprentices: please apply through an Apprenticeship Network Provider with your employer to organise your contract prior to applying for this course.

A laptop/computer with internet access, including access to YouTube.
A digital camera or video camera for visual and audio assessment tasks.
A media player.
Protective enclosed footwear.
