Diploma of Marketing and Communication
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This diploma will provide a nationally recognised qualification to individuals with the skills needed to develop marketing plans, evaluate opportunities, plan and undertake related projects and establish a sound marketing and communications theoretical knowledge.
Aimed at individuals who are currently or hoping to work in positions such as Marketing Manager, Communications Consultant or Media Manager in a wide range of industries.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Pathway
The BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communication program is designed for individuals with existing experience and skills in the marketing field. Harness your professional expertise and accomplishments to earn this esteemed diploma through the RPL pathway.
RPL allows you to achieve nationally recognised qualifications by converting your existing skills, knowledge, and experience—gained through previous work or study—into formal competencies. This means you can earn qualifications simply by providing evidence of your relevant expertise.
The process can be completed in as little as a week, though it typically takes between 2 weeks – 3 months, depending on the evidence provided. If you have difficulty gathering evidence or prefer additional support, we can streamline the process through interviews and observations.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:
1. Have completed the following units (or equivalent competencies):
- BSBCMM411 Make presentations;
- BSBCRT412 Articulate, present and debate ideas;
- BSBMKG433 Undertake marketing activities;
- BSBMKG435 Analyse consumer behaviour;
- BSBMKG439 Develop and apply knowledge of communications industry;
- and BSBWRT411 Write complex documents.
Equivalent competencies are predecessors to these units, which have been mapped as equivalent.

2. Have two years equivalent full-time relevant work experience.

RPL Pathway: $1,995
The fees are broken down to an enrolment fee of $500, and the balance is either due upon completion or spaced evenly across the program to suit your financial needs.

OPEC Systems is an award winning, Australian-owned Registered Training Organisation (RTO 41595).
OPEC Systems established OPEC College in 2019 to focus on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for public and private sector employees including former Defence and First Responder personnel. OPEC College also delivers industry specific courses within eight key faculties for people who are unable to achieve full RPL.
The aim of OPEC College is to help you to gain well-deserved qualifications, either through RPL where we formally recognise the knowledge and skills you already have, or through provision of additional training to achieve your qualifications.
