Telemarketer

Telemarketers spend their days on the phone calling prospects and promoting their organisation’s products and services for sale. They usually work from a call centre, though some telemarketers do work from home.

As a Telemarketer you might be contacting your company’s existing customers, offering them add-ons or upgrades to their service. Other times you might be cold calling from a phone list and introducing the company offerings. You’ll need outstanding communication and sales skills — and be very thick-skinned when people hang up on you.
